The Human Resources (HR) & Organisational Development (OD) Officer is a vital member of SOS Children’s Villages Namibia workforce and executive team being responsible for the general oversight and management of all the organisation’s operations, including Organisational operations, administration, facilities, culture, and human resources. The HR & OD Officer strategically implements best practices to help us hire, grow, and retain exemplary talent. The HR & OD Officer position acts as the Organisational development liaison and advisor to the National Director and senior leadership to maintain and improve a “Best Place to Work” culture and as such facilitates initiatives across the organisation. This critical role will help cultivate people, programmes and processes for the organisation. This position will assess and identify capability gaps and opportunities for improvement to enable a culture of high performance; report findings and propose solutions to senior leadership. The HR & OD Officer also leads SOS Children’s Villages’ HR activities and plans, develops, implements and administers HR programmes for all employees. This position is responsible for development and integration of human resource programmes and associated projects to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives.
The ICT Coordinator is responsible of the effective operation of the information and communication technology infrastructure and services across SOS Children's Villages Namibia. In cooperation with the Regional ICT Director / Advisor, the ICT Coordinator implements SOS Children's Villages International, global and regional ICT goals, policies and standards in the Member Association (MA). The ICT Coordinator is responsible for designing and maintaining the connectivity, infrastructure and ICT services architecture that support and facilitate the business needs in the National Office and the SOS programme locations. S/He ensures reliable ICT services in terms of networks and systems availability, information security and business continuity and manages associated risks. As member of the National Management Team, the ICT Coordinator contributes to the development of SOS Children's Villages Namibia strategies and operations. S/He works closely with the management and the various national functions in providing technical and strategic advice on how to achieve operational efficiency, better support the programme implementation and bringing new innovations to the work of SOS Children's Villages Namibia.

SOS Children’s Villages is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit international development organization of which Namibia is a Member Association (MA). We are committed to ensuring that all children throughout the world have quality care. We commit to identifying the most suitable care option for every child according to the child’s best interest and in close partnership with the responsible authority. By adopting a variety of programmes that include Family Strengthening (FS) and Family Like Care Programmes (FLC), we care for orphans and vulnerable children, strengthen families within identified communities to prevent the abandonment and neglect of children and advocate for the rights of all children without parental care or at risk of losing it. All the mentioned activities are carried out in Windhoek, Ondangwa and Tsumeb where our villages (Programme Locations) are. SOS Children’s Villages Association invites nominations for candidates to stand for election to the Board of Governors for the term July 2026 to June 2029. Elections will take place during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in July 2026. This is an opportunity to contribute to the strategic leadership and governance of an organisation dedicated to the care, protection, and development of children, youth and families in need.
